INTRODUCTION
Now, In the globalization strategy of the country, all organizations must be
interested in bringing information technology into their companies. Even seemingly
offices that use a little technology such as education, but now they have brought
technology to the operating activities of the industry as well as convenient for parents.
But particularly the financial sector, the Bank Information Technology is indispensable if
you want to survive and integrate into the international. The application of information
technology is applied to each system, each branch and each department in the bank. This
article is pleased to introduce the application of information technology in Agribank
Vietnam system and specific Forex trading part at Branch Bank for Agriculture and Rural
Development Trung Yen (Agribank Trung Yen).

Founded in 2008, Branch Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development from a
young unit has become a growing bank in the system Agribank and significant market
share in the area of Hanoi with than 1,000 business customers and in addition serve
individual customers and organizations. Although a newly established branch and lend
oneself to much of the competition with other banks in the area but Trung Yen branch has

Over the 6-year maturity, branch has a network with 5 points trading and
providing products of modern banking, quick with competitive of interest rates and
charge services, utilities have to meet requirements of all customers, expand business,
increase cooperation between credit institutions and other organizations, gradually
improving and maintaining prestige of the brand as well as branches in the domestic
market and internationally.

part in helping branch have become the most efficient operations in Vietnam Agribank

From the functions and tasks of the room is to engage in the international
payments and foreign currency trading, so using the foreign language and informatics is
indispensable for the room. Currently, Forex trading room is used a lot of software for
forex trading as well as implementation of accounting transfers for international
customers. Simultaneously using multiple search webside to collect information
exchange and the world economic situation, as well as learn the international rules to
carry out money transfers in accordance to international standards like to the process of
globalization, internationalization.
Currently, the software is used in Forex trading room include:
- IPCAS Software: This is a software which was successfully deployed at
Agribank in 2003, marking an important turning point in the trading pattern changes,
shorten the processing time per transaction to complete only about 3 to 5 minutes. And on
11/05/2009 the historical moment marked the completion of successful implementation
of Phase II of the project IPCAS. After this point is considered Agribank bank server
models and databases with advanced processing technology leading in the region and the

- A software system is applied in the Agribank that is Realtime software. This is a
software function notification rates of the currencies between the head office and
branches. Therefore, any forex trading personnel must also proficient use this software.

branch, the other parts will not be irrelevant to install this software.
- Also, in any companies, the management of the text is also very important and
difficult. Banks are particularly specific sectoral system of lots and inclusive, it includes
government documents, department documents and internal text. So updating and
management of documents is very necessary. Therefore, the branch was using a
document management software which was created by the staff of the Computing Division
room. This software allows the administration system scan documents up to other parts of
the track as directed by the Director. This is a very useful software because it conveys to
the departmental documents very quickly and timely.
- In addition to the software, Trung Yen Branch also has a private webside to
transmit and update information about the product, about the promotion or financial
information to clients. This webside was designed according to the same standards of
Vietnam Agribank webside.
From 2010 to now, Agribank continued successful implementation of major
projects such as AD-project-Virus Email centralized synchronization infrastructure-based
end-user Active Directory, issued e-mail agribank.com.vn domain name for 40,000
employees, centralized authentication and enhanced security for workstation workstation;

3. EVALUATION, COMPARISON OF COMPETITORS:

customers.

selection and application.

4.4. Threats:

development, slowing down the process of modernizing the bank. IT Staffs banks have
increased both in quantity and quality but still did not meet the requirements of
development. National telecommunications facilities have been upgraded and improved
but did not meet the requirements of IT applications in banking activities.
5. ANALYSIS OF EXPERIENCES:
In the era of information technology boom at present, the commercial banks have
applied information technology early and most capable high interaction with the user.
Core banking is clearly out of the race for technological modernization banks, helping
customers get the utilities and commercial payments gradually bring Vietnam integration
with the world economy. In 2005, Vietnam has 7 banks implemented Core Banking, but
now has 44 banks in the country to deploy the system.
Bank pioneer in implementing Core Banking system is Techcombank with
20billion VND in 2001 as the basis for improvement and diversification of products and
services offered. Spent shells accounted for 1/5 of Techcombank charter capital at that
time.
Then the deployment of other banks such as Sacombank (2004), Seabank (2006),
VP (2006) ... with the increasing high cost.
Corebanking bring many benefits and has given the bank the competitive
advantage of their own. That is reflected in the development and growth of the bank has
invested in Corebanking. Techcombank as a pioneer in this deployment, thus creating a
competitive advantage for themselves really. This is evident in the three groups entered
the commercial banking shares leading Vietnam today. Besides, the ATM card

Techcombank is also the first ATM card in Vietnam can connect directly to the deposit
accounts of customers.
6. SOLUTIONS FOR APPLICATIONS OF IT
- To meet the needs of customers on quality issues and service time as well as
ensuring the development strategy of the Bank, to create products with specific
characteristics and high utility to attract customers. At the same time, ensure the safety
and security of the banking system is expected Agribank Trung Yen:
+ Upgrade the software is used to keep up with the growing trend in the IT market.
+ Upgrading server systems, servers and workstations to shorten the service life.
+ Provides services and products have high levels of IT to create a separate and
enhance product competitiveness.
+ Other banks Learning the software tracking of each plan according to officials
KPIs.
- In addition to the measures to reduce branch also needs to be some solution for
the professional division of the branch. Especially forex trading room, this room is a

- Currently, Vietnam Agribank is planning to implement programs to upgrade the
server system and transmission system in order to improve the quality of service in the
system. Besides, Agribank Trung Yen is also implementing strategies for improving the
quality of service in the Vietnam Agribank by replacing the entire computer was used in 5
years. This investment aims to improve the speed of the computer system and shorten the
time of customer service.
- In addition to the upgrading of the current Agribank is also changing some of the
products to match customer needs in today's technology era. Specifically, Trung Yen
Agribank has planned enhancements to security features of the card, which customers
may use the card to pay online, but not to pay attention to safety issues. However, the
problem here is not only that Agribank is the world's problem. Therefore, to successfully
plan requires the close cooperation of foreign experts.
- For Forex trading room:
+ Room is testing new realtime program with many new features such as
conversation function between the parties, save the function call, function listed
transactions, ... This ensures business transactions in foreign currency is secure and

trading room is proposing to apply to all branches in the near future.
7.2. Reporting system and training:

CONCLUSION
This article introduces the application of information technology in agricultural
banking system (Agribank), bank branches in rural agricultural Trung Yen and Forex
trading room. Besides Agribank also compare with a number of banks in the same
locality and solutions, IT development plans at Grandview Branch Business Manager as
well as foreign exchange.
In summary, the integration trend today, if not upgrade applications as well as IT is
very difficult to have the opportunity to find customers, expand markets. However, the
development and application of IT in banks depend heavily on the cognitive level, human
resources, business characteristics and infrastructure of the bank.
Currently, Agribank of Vietnam in general and in particular Grandview Agribank
also underway to develop measures to improve the quality of IT products and services,
attract customers to the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development.
