I. Objectives: By the end of this unit pupils can

in the room.
- Look at the pictures and write about the pictures using What do you like doing? /
What’s your hobby? I like + V-ing
- Use the words & phrases related to the topics Free time activities. Ask and
answer questions about what a family member does in his/her free time, using
What does your ... do in his/her free time? He/She ...
- Develop Ss writing skills.
- Ss look after , solve problems and study themselves.

- Studious and obedient students and love their hometown, family and friends.

1. Look, read and write (E3)
- Have pupils open their books to Page
25. Get Ss to identify the characters in
the pictures and what are there in the
picture.
- Tell Ss that they are going to read
the sentences and write the missing
words to fill in the blanks.
- Ss read silently and complete the
sentences.
- Ss trade their answers within pairs
or groups for correction
- Ask Ss to read the answers aloud to
the class. The others listen and give
comments.

comprehension of the reading text.


Have the whole class read each line of
the dialogues chorally to reinforce their
pronunciation.
2. Write a reply email to Mai.: (E4)
-Tell pupas that they are going to write a
reply email to Mai, using the
information from Activity 4.
-Have them work in pairs or groups to
discuss what they are going to write.
Focus pupils on their names and ages,
what they like and do not like doing and
their email addresses. Remind Is how to
open and close an email. Check
comprehension.
-Give pupils time to do the task
independently. Go around offering help,
if necessary.
-Get them to swap their answers before
checking as a class. If there is time ask
one pupil to write the email on the
board.

- Set a limit for them to do the task
independently. Monitor the activity and
