Lesson 5 Language focus
A. The objectives
- Content: Present perfect with already and yet, comparison of the present
perfect and past simple
- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to understand the form and the use
of the present perfect with yet and already. They’ll make a clear comparison of
the present perfect and past simple. They’ll complete the tasks and use the
language to talk about the activities they’ve already done and haven’t done
yet. They’ll talk about the flight information and everyday conversations.

B. Materials: OHP, transparencies, posters, pictures,
Work arrangements: Individuals, pairs, groups, T-WC
Anticipated problems: too many target items, the lesson may take longer
time

Set the scene and the situation
Get ss to work individually to
complete the dialogue. Pair and
