A. The objectives

- Content: Present simple, Recycling vocab
- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to understand what reduce, reuse
and recycle mean. Theyll use the language to talk about recycling and
protecting the environment and saving natural resoursces.
B. Materials: disk, CD player, cassette, OHP, transparencies,


Work arrangements: Individuals, pairs, groups, T-WC
Anticipated problems: Ways we can reduce the amount of garbage we

Getting started:
Think of ways we can reduce the
amount of garbage we produce

We should use cloth bags instead
of plastic bags
We should also reuse plastic bags
We should use tree leaves to wrap
things
We ought to make garbage into
fertilizer

2. Answer
a. Reduce means not buying
things/ products which are
overpackaged.
b. We can reuse things like
envelopes, glass and plastic bottles
and old plastic bags,…
c. Recycle means not just throwing
things away. Try and find another
use for them
d. We can look for information on
recycling things by having a
contact with an organization like
Friends of the Earth, going to the
local library, or asking our family
and friends.
e. We should not use plastic bags
at all because they are difficult/
hard to be destroyed/ to dissolve
so the amount of garbage
increases.
